Marius Sanchez
Naish Team Europe rider

About Marius

Marius was born in Tignes, the famous international ski resort located in the french alp! Very far from the sea. He skied before he knew how to walk. In the summer 2015, his parents decided to left the mountains and they moved to South of France, in Le Grau du Roi. His father was already windsurfing and kitesurfing addict. Because he was used to practice extreme sports and getting the adrenalin, instead of skiing everyday, he started kiting everyday. He fell in love with this sport and never stoped.

My favorite Kite is for sure the pivot! Really easy to fly so high and the hanktime is insane. Just try it and you will see!

What is your favorite kitespot?
With a little bit of hesitation…  I think it’s; Les dosses in Le Barcarés, south of France. Perfect flat water and always boosting wind like nowhere! Please come to share some session with me !

What is your local Kite-spot?
My home spot is Plage sud in Le Grau du Roi, my home town in south of France. You can always catch some clean wind, flat water and perfect conditions for training. I love this spot, you always have a lovely session there.

What is your ultimate goal to achieve?
Just Kiting, sharing my passion every day but the ultimate one is to win one day the King Of The Air!

What are your hobbies besides kiteboarding?
I am studying in university, but what I love is traveling, meet some people who are living for kitesurfing. This kind of life style is a perfect besides hobbies right?

What is your favorite trick?
My favorite kite trick is always the new one that I learn. Actually now it is the boogie loop board off. The feeling is just amazing.

Which rider do you look up to?
For sure Robby Naish. He is a legend, with a soul of the perfect waterman. I would like to live his same life haha. But I also look up to the rider of my generation and team like Stig and Cohan. They are always trying to push the limits.  They are showing us and pushing us to follow the level. The next big air generation is just going crazy!
